BCAC has commissioned Peak District artist, Sue Prince, to create four murals showing the history of Bamford and the surrounding area.

Sue is featured on Countryfile on 26th January 2020.

Here she is with the Chair of BCAC, David Allwood, showing her designs for the four Bamford panels

The final stage of creation was two open weekends in March when Bamford residents were invited to paint the drawings, creating a vibrant, lasting heritage artwork for future generations.

The project is generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund

The painting weekends were a great success. Two hundred and fourteen Bamford and local residents of all ages from 6 months to 99 years came to paint the panels.
